The key item on Suriya’s agenda for Tuesday was visiting his fans in Kerala as part of Singam 3 promotion. But the day turned out to be extra special for the actor as he bumped into Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on his flight to Thiruvananthapuram.
After a promo event held at Thrissur, Suriya took a flight from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram and one among his co-passengers was none other than chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Without any hesitation, Suriya went ahead and made friends with the CM. ''I was surprised to know that a chief minister of a state could be this simple and down to earth. Usually in such circumstances, the VIPs in a flight are asked to leave before other passengers. However, Pinarayi Vijayan was the last to come out of the flight.''
Recalling their meeting, he said, ''It was like a school student meeting up his headmaster. His simplicity reminded me of my teachers.''
