Thiruvananthapuram: Just when you thought V.S. Achuthanandan was out of action, he has found a new engagement. At 93 years, the former chief minister is making his acting debut in a campus movie titled ‘Campus Diary’.
He will be doing what he does best on screen too. Achuthanandan is acting as Achuthanandan, the champion of every popular cause. The movie has the veteran communist visiting a group of students fighting a packaged water company, which draws excessively from a dying river.
The movie aims to highlight the severe water shortage staring at our future, through the eyes of two warring factions of college student and a thirsty cow.
Achuthanandan will go to Koothuparamba on July 9 to get his part shot. The movie, directed by C.K .Jeevan Das for the Drishya Arts Club, also features an array of actors such as Sudev Nair, Joy Mathew, Mammukoya, Gauthami Nair, Thalaivasal Vijay and Kottayam Nazeer.
