Jisha

Kochi: Though investigators believe that Jisha was sexually assaulted, forensic tests have not found the presence of semen in her body. The murder trail has now taken investigators outside Kerala.

The murder was so brutal that the samples collected from the body were mixed with blood. The samples were separated and tested at the forensic laboratory in Thiruvananthapuram and at the chemical laboratory in Kakkanad, Ernakulam.

Still, the presence of semen was not found.

Investigators, however, were suspecting that the motive of the attack was sexual intent, since the body showed signs of such an assault.

It has been confirmed that the woman was bitten during the assault, which led the police collect to the DNA samples of the suspect. Investigators were yet to officially receive the DNA report.

Police have now prepared a list of those, including non-Malayalis, who left Jisha’s neighbourhood soon after the gruesome incident.

A search has been launched for them in their respective states, and a few have been detained.

Investigators, however, would bring only those are under a cloud of suspicion back to Kerala for further scientific probe.

Jisha was found murdered at her Perumbavoor shack on April 28.
