Kottayam: The rail traffic via Alappuzha route in Kerala restarted on Saturday morning. The services in this route were suspended on Friday as the tracks were found to be unsafe as incessant rain continued to batter the state.
Several other trains have been cancelled owing to the rain and floods. The engineering department of the Southern Railway has informed that the authorities are trying to resume the services at the earliest. Services have been resumed in Palakkad-Shoranur, Shoranur-Pattambi route.
