Manorama Yearbook's online edition bags CII Design Excellence Award

Panaji: The online version of Manorama Yearbook has won the CII Design Excellence Award, 2019, eclipsing various publications in India. It won in the category of 'Interaction Design for Consumer, Home and Personal Uses'.

Governor of Goa Mridula Sinha handed over the award to one of the design heads of Think Design Collaborative, a user experience (UX) consultation firm, at the 9th CII Design Excellence Award 2019 ceremony held in Goa on September 21.

The award has been instituted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to acknowledge and celebrate design and innovation.

Tthis year's jury panel included Prof. K Munshi (Former Head, IDC, IIT Bombay), Ekta Singh (Director, Amity School of Design, Amity University), Jaakko Waananen (CEO, Hellon, Finland), Prof. Sasi Gopal Menon (Dean, School of Fashion & Design, GD Goenka University), Ramneek Majithia (Director - Project Management, Global University Systems), Anant Chakradeo (MIT Institute of Design) and Toolika Gupta (Director, Indian Institute of Crafts and Design).

Manorama Yearbook, India's most popular annual knowledge encyclopedia, launched its digital platform (www.manoramayearbook.in) in December 2018. The online edition complements the print version by providing daily updates on current affairs, special stories, expert opinions, quizzes and mock tests for Civil Services aspirants to stay ahead in the highly competitive UPSC examination race.
