She was allegedly abused by more than 40 men ever since she turned 14. About five years ago, she gave birth to a baby girl, and the world came to know of her plight.
Years later, her abusers haven’t still left her alone. Some of them are following her, issuing threats in a bid to force her change her statement made to the court, the woman alleged.
The Kooniyilkadavu, Areekode resident in Malappuram had fallen victim to human traffickers when she was 14. She was taken to several places and offered to many men. After her plight came to light and she was rescued, the teen tried pursuing a few courses so that she could lead a normal life.
Her plans, however, didn’t work. Once out of her home, some of the accusers stalk her, issuing threat.
She said some of them even knock at her door at nights. According to her complaint, there were 40 men who had sexually abused her. But only 20 were arrested.
She alleged that some of the men escaped in connivance with the investigators.
She now lives with her four-and-a-half-year-old daughter. But with threats from all sides, life has become a big question for her.
