Gurgaon girl's kidnappers sent to jail CCTV footage of the girl being kidnapped.

Gurgaon: A day after three men abducted a 19-year-old girl from outside a college here and were arrested within five hours, they were sent to jail under judicial custody on Tuesday, police said.

Vicky, Jaibir and Mangal were sent to jail for 14 days by a district court. The three, in their early '20s, are accused of kidnapping the girl from outside D.S.D. College here on Railway Road Monday morning.

Vicky, a resident of Gurgaon Colony, was doing graduation through distance learning and was known to the kidnapped girl. The other two accused are school dropouts.

A senior police officer told IANS that Vicky wanted to celebrate his birthday (December 28) with the girl along with his friends but the young woman objected to the plan.

Vicky and one of his friends then dragged the girl into a white coloured Maruti Swift car.

A few people ran after the car to help the struggling girl but could not succeed.

The girl could be rescued safely, as a woman resident of Sector 17, who was heading towards her office, timely informed the police control room about the kidnapping.

The incident was partially caught by a CCTV camera installed outside a nearby hotel.

The accused men dropped the girl, who was abducted around 10 am, on under construction Gurgaon-Dwarka Expressway around noon but police came to know abut this after 4.00 p.m.

Her alleged abductors surrendered on Monday evening as police launched a hunt for them.
