The victory, with goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Sadio Mane, ensured Juergen Klopp's side could be crowned champions on Thursday if second-placed Manchester City fail to win at Chelsea.
Everton made it three wins out of three as they topped the Premier League after a 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace, won by a controversial penalty.
United looked off the pace early on as Andros Townsend put Palace in front after seven minutes.
Wan-Bissaka, who started 35 Premier League games for Palace last season, said he was honoured to call himself a Manchester United player.
With the win, Chelsea leapfrogged Manchester City and Leicester City, who have yet to play this weekend, into second spot in the table.
The result left both sides on four points from three games.
