The Malayali journalist was shot dead on Sept 30, 2008, while she was returning home from work in her car around 3.30 am. Police had claimed that the motive behind her killing was robbery.
The accused allegedly urinated on an elderly woman co-passenger on an Air India flight on Nov 26.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Snigdha Sarvaria allowed the police plea, which said further investigation was on.
