It was after two years that Plus-One students reached schools on the opening day for in–person classes. Many schools had arranged special programmes and events to welcome the joinees.
The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala, has allowed one more chance for KEAM candidates who have not availed reservation and other benefits to upload the necessary documents. The certificates could be uploaded until 5 pm on 30 August.
Even though the despatch of migration certificates has begun from the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education in Thiruvananthapuram, they are yet to reach schools.
The criterion is applicable only to those who got merit allotment to a different course or school.
The test will have five sections: English, General Knowledge including Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques (Class-10 level Basic Maths).
Several applicants who got admission for Plus-One courses in the management quota couldn’t join the merit seats despite being allotted seats in the third allotment. This was due to the specific guidelines of the single window admission system being followed for higher secondary admissions.
Those who are well known in the field of engineering, science, media, literature, fine arts, entrepreneurship, social sciences, civil service and defence forces can conduct classes. However, they should have proved their talent or expertise in the respective fields for at least 15 years.
The Supreme Court has accepted the Tamil Nadu Government’s demand that the admission for the undergraduate and post-graduate courses in Christian Medical College, Vellore, should be based on 50:50 proportion. Accordingly, the college management and the state government would conduct admission in 50% seats each.
Indian students who were pursuing their final year of medicine in Ukrainian medical colleges and universities are in a fix. They have not been able to acquire so far the course certificate and internship certificate from the institute where they had studied.
