In a setback for Adani, the MoEFCC has asked the Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd to conduct the hearing before going ahead with phases II and III of the project.
Minister Ahammad Devarkovil said the permit for the workers of the ship was delayed due to technical reasons.
On June 24, Lanco Kondappally Power, which won the bid to construct the port, formally told the Kerala government that it was not interested in taking up the project.
