The NTA has faced allegations of irregularities and inflation of marks in the medical entrance exam, leading to heightened scrutiny.
The Centre further stated these candidates will be informed of their actual scores (without the grace marks) and be given the option to appear for a re-test.
This decision follows allegations of mark inflation, which led to 67 candidates sharing the top rank in the exam.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate, which is the country's largest exam for medical admissions, will be conducted on May 5 next year
Notably, the CUET-PG exam for the post-graduation admission would be conducted before the CUET-UG for undergraduate programmes
The merit list based on CUET will be prepared by universities.
Prabhanjan J from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi of Andhra Pradesh are all India toppers in NEET 2023. They have scored 720/720 marks .
Nearly 14 lakh applications have been received for the CUET-UG this year, registering a 41 per cent increase from the debut edition last year
The online application will be accepted till 5 pm on April 30. The application fee is Rs 2,000.
Those who have already submitted the application for KEAM 2023 can add courses to their application from 7 pm on April 10 to 5 pm on April 12 by logging on to the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
