Mettupalayam - Ooty train services suspended due to landslide: Details

Trains on the Mettupalayam - Udhagamandalam (Ooty) route have been suspended on Thursday due to landslides following heavy rains. The trains suspended today are:
1) Mettupalayam - Ooty train (06136) which was supposed to leave at 7.10 am on Thursday morning
2) The Ooty - Mettupalayam train (06137) scheduled for 2 pm on Thursday.
Last week too, the railways had suspended services due to landslides. The authorities had also asked tourists to avoid travelling to the hill station till May 20. An orange alert is in place in the Nilgiris as of now. They have also advised locals to stay indoors unless travelling is necessary.
