The Indian Railways has just launched its one-stop-shop app 'RailOne,' which they say can book train tickets, confirm PNR, order food, purchase platform tickets, lodge complaints, make suggestions, track trains and more in one place. However, a few hours into the launch, many users have posted screenshots on various social media platforms showing that they are facing various issues. While X user Sandeep Raina highlighted a data safety issue, stating that the app might share data types with third parties, many, such as Chittaranjan Kumar, reported receiving 'high' risk level alerts while trying to install the application.
"This is what your talented developers developed. I wonder how this is certified from QA. First day of application after the launch. Very disappointed,' said X user Dev Shah, with a screenshot of the app giving the message 'Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later.' Yet another user said on the platform that despite the hype, "basic functionality like logging in isn't working smoothly. Please prioritise fixing these teething problems to ensure a seamless experience for users."
RailOne App is available for download on Android and iOS phones. Customers should be able to log in to this app using their existing login credentials (Rail Connect/UTS). Railway e-valet facilities are also available in this app. Meanwhile, guest login is also offered by providing minimal details. The option to check unreserved tickets should also work in the RailOne app.
