NEET-UG results declared : Two Keralites in top rank

The NEET-UG exam was held on September 12.

New Delhi: Two Keralites, Mrinal Kutteri who resides in Hyderabad and Mumbai based Karthika G Nair, grab first rank in the national medical entrance test NEET – UG by scoring full marks (720). Meanwhile, Tanmay Gupta (Delhi) is the third candidate who shared the top spot with them.

Mrinal is the son of Kannur Kuthuparamba native Muralidhar Kutteri and Rathi Raveendran who hails from Mayyanad in Kollam. Meanwhile, Karthika is the daughter of Kannur Karivallur natives Gangadharan K Nair and Srividya.

S Gouri Shankar who hails from Alappuzha is the highest scorer in Kerala. With 715 marks, he grabbed 17th spot in the overall rank list. He is the son of Sunil Kumar and Rekha.

Vaishna Jayavardhanan (23rd rank by scoring 710 marks), daughter of Thrissur Peringottukara Jayavardhanan and Rashmi, and RR Kavinesh (31st rank by scoring 710 marks) son of Kottayam Puthanangadi K Ramalingam and R Radhamani are the other Keralites who grabbed spots in the first fifty ranks. 

The scorecard that includes the rank and the percentile score has been sent to the candidates via email by the National Testing Agency. A tie-breaking formula will be used at the counselling stage for these three candidates, an NTA official said.

The NEET-UG exam was held on September 12 with over 95 per cent of the registered candidates appearing for the medical entrance exam.
