Kottayam: Saintgits College of Engineering recently witnessed the grand inauguration of the Mathematics Club's activities, titled ‘Infinity,’ marking the beginning of a new journey in promoting mathematical exploration and excellence on campus. The event took place in the RB Seminar Hall, drawing enthusiastic students and faculty members alike.

The highlight of the occasion was an expert talk by Prof Dr Aparna Lakshmanan S, an esteemed professor in the Department of Mathematics at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). Renowned for her significant contributions to the field, Prof Lakshmanan captivated the audience with an insightful session on the "Applications of Graph Theory."

During her talk, Prof Lakshmanan delved into various aspects of graph theory and its practical applications in solving real-world problems. The session was both informative and engaging, offering students a glimpse into how mathematical concepts are crucial in diverse fields such as computer science, engineering, and data analysis.
