Celebs are pretty active on social media platforms promoting their movie ventures. But when it comes to south Indian stars, not many are social media savvy.
It was on March 8, 2016 that actor Suriya announced the start of his social media journey and the joy of fans knew no bounds when they saw the much adored actor on Twitter.
If you remember, Suriya first tweeted a video, where the '24' star said, "Hello guys. Here I am… yes, on Twitter from today." He also said Women’s Day wishes to his female fans and thanked his fans for the love showered upon him. Within a few hours, the actor amassed a whopping 36.9 K followers. The next day, he tweeted, "Couldn’t sleep last night..! Excited:) Twitter is totally new to me... It’s overwhelming to see the love you all show.. Seriously!”
But did anyone notice how many profiles he is following? When we dug into his Twitter account, we found that Suriya is following only 24 Twitter profiles. Whether it is intentional or not, we couldn't help but draw a connection with his latest movie 24, which was released today.
The actor follows a few celebrities, including Rajinikanth, Madhavan, Rana Dagubbati, Shuti Haasan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sidharth and Suresh Raina. He has also clicked the follow buttons of a few production houses and tourism-related pages.
PS: Except for Shruti Haasan, there are no females in the elite list! Happy woman Jyothika. Sigh.
