After a stupendous first day collection of Rs 21 crore from Andhra and Telangana on the first day of its release, Janatha Garage held the reins on the second day crossing the Rs 50 crore mark at the global box office and pulled in huge numbers of people into the theater.
The Koratala Siva-directed bilingual film starring Mohanlal and Jr NTR is definitely a blockbuster in the making, and stands right next in line after the Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali and Rajamouli directorial Baahubali—which had collected Rs 87.5 crore and Rs 73 crore respectively—at the box office.
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh has tweeted about the massive impact that Janatha Garage is making in the US.
