Vijay's havoc-causing Theri finally has a release date. Director Atlee, who wrapped up the final schedule of shooting, has also confirmed the date. The film touted to be an out-and-out police story, which can be rephrased as a 'sheer treat for Vijay fans'!
Reports quoting Atlee dispute all speculations related to the film being a political thriller, instead stating that Vijay would be doing a never-seen-before police role.
Theri is to set the screens ablaze on April 14th, the Tamil New Year day. If it's indeed releasing on the said date, the movie would see a four day opening weekend, which sounds like a fantastic deal for both the makers and the Ilayathalapathy fans.
The film, which also features renowned filmmaker Mahendran in a pivotal role, is said to have moved to its post-production stage. Atlee has vouched for Mahendran's roile in the film stating that after Vijay, he will be the one sweeping all attention.
