Pappadam chammanthi

Chutnies made of grated coconut, mango, and tamarind are familiar to us. But this chutney is way different. Try this interesting chutney made of pappadam.

Ingredients
8 pappadam (fried and crumbled)
15 shallots (peeled but not chopped)
8 dried red chillies 
1 small piece ginger 
Tamarind as per taste 
Curry leaves 
Salt to taste
Oil

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and to it add the shallots and chillies
Sauté till aromatic
Then add the curry leaves, ginger, and tamarind
Sauté well
Cool the concoction then grind to coarse paste
Add the crushed pappadam and grind once more
The chamanthi is ready to serve.
