The arrested had threatened the girl that they would make her morphed photograph public if she moved against them.
The arrested includes a woman, Sijimol (42), Siraj, Aneesh (35) and Unnikrishnan (35). Another accused, Kottayam-based Jinto (42), is absconding.
The parents of the girl had complained last Monday that she was missing and the police found the girl on July 22 near the Taluk Hospital at Vaikom.
The incident came to the light when medical examinations showed that she was raped.
The girl, who is a student in a private institute, was befriended by Siraj through their mobile conversations. She was then threatened using an obscene morphed photograph of her and lured to the house of Sijimol in Ernakulam.
The gang then took rooms in a lodge where Sijimol and Jinto posed as parents of the girl. There, the girl was repeatedly raped. The same thing happened at Vaikom. The gang then let her off and she was found near the Taluk hospital by the police.
The arrested were remanded by the Vaikom Magistrate court and a hunt is on to arrest Jinto.
