KPCC general secretary Thampanoor Ravi has played down allegations that he called Solar case prime accused Saritha S Nair, asking her to protect Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the probe.
An audio clip of the alleged phone conversation between Saritha and Ravi has surfaced online, in which the latter can be heard hinting about protect the Chief Minister.
Ravi asks Saritha to study the statement given by CM Oommen Chandy before the Solar probe commission and then give a similar account of events.
However, Ravi has come out in his defence, saying it was Saritha who called him, and since he is a politician he is bound to answer calls. He said he only asked Saritha if someone tried to influence her statements in the probe.
