Sabik, an expatriate, is elated to show around his brand – new house at his hometown in Valliyoth in Kozhikode, Kerala. This luxury mansion stands out for its unique spaces that are specially designed to host family gatherings.

Sabik designed this house as a comfortable place for him to stay with his siblings and their families whenever he is home for the holidays. However, he chose the simple flat – box style elevation as it is easier to maintain. Roads run through the front and the back side of the house. So, gates have been installed here, allowing entry from both sides. Moreover, the house looks unique when viewed from both the roads.

This mega mansion, that sprawls in 8037 sqft, has a car porch, sit out, formal and family living areas, dining area, kitchen with work area, six bedrooms, upper living, balcony, recreation area and a swimming pool.

Interestingly, the roof top of the car porch has been turned into a terrace garden. Meanwhile, the house runs mostly on clean electricity produced by the solar panels that line the roof of the house.

The vast formal living area is elegantly furnished and can accommodate quite a lot of guests. Meanwhile, the double height windows here open to soothing view of the swimming pool. The family living area too is classy, with lots of sitting spaces and comfortable corners. From here, one could get to the quaint courtyard through the folding glass door.

The recreational space behind the house is the main area where family gatherings are hosted. There is a swimming pool, gazebo, barbecue counter and a gym in this spacious area.

The skylight courtyard beside the sit out is an interesting feature. This area is decorated with beautiful indoor plants. Some of the furniture is custom made while the rest have been imported form China. The spacious and open interiors are the highlight of this grand mansion. Interestingly, the areas have surprises galore that instantly charm the guests.

The dining table top has been carved on a single piece of wood, adding a majestic elegance to this exquisite piece of furniture. The cushioned chairs are comfortable and suits the simple yet classy design of the dining table. Meanwhile, the wall beside the table has been highlighted with bison board.

The staircase has wooden planks paved on a sturdy metal frame. Meanwhile, the hand railings feature the splendid combination of wood and glass. The staircase leads to a spacious corridor and an adjacent upper living area.

The bedrooms are luxuriously designed like a high – end resort. Each room is decorated in unique themes. Beautiful wall papers and designer false ceiling grant an opulence to the bedrooms.

The main kitchen is furnished in the amazing combination of yellow and grey. The cabinets here are done in acrylic finish. The counter top, meanwhile, has been paved with Korean stone. There is a pantry kitchen right next to the main kitchen. Here, the cabinets are built in plywood with paint finish. A breakfast counter too has been arranged here to complete the kitchen area.

Sabik says that the lockdown period had inspired him a lot while designing the house. The mansion has all the incredible facilities that could save you from boredom, in case another situation arises when everyone has to stay indoors. The family, meanwhile, is joyous that they got the house of their dreams, where everyone could enjoy special moments of happiness and friendship.
