Photo courtesy: Josekutty PanackalKochi: Onam is right around the corner, ready to spring upon us the happiness and prosperity to start afresh. The renowned Tripunithura athachamayam procession that marks the start of the Onam festivities takes place Sunday.
The procession was inaugurated by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The parade that will take a round of Tripunithura will halt at Atham Nagar post noon marking the end of the procession.
With traditional musical accompaniments, percussion and costume dramas, the procession will be a burst of colors as usual. The evening would see a flower carpet show and a diverse display of talent.
