The Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF), which is organising the 'Artists' Cinema', notes that Malayalam cinema is largely known for realistic representation of society.
Renowned artist Anita Dube is the curator of the upcoming biennale.
The festival, spread across 10 venues in Fort Kochi, Mattancherry and Ernakulam, will feature 94 projects presented by over 100 artists.
Tourism principal secretary Venu V said the road shows showcasing the biennale got a rousing response in Barcelona and St Petersburg.
The advisory committee meet decided to go ahead with the Biennale as per the instructions of the governments and Indian Medical Association.
These specially crafted items, mostly used as souvenirs, include perfumed stamps, jute bags, and philatelic stamps besides the regular stamps.
The KBE 6, which would conclude its journey on April 5, shaped up after organisers shortlisted more than 7,000 entries the department received from 50-plus countries.
The ‘art room’ as an exercise is set to continue for the benefit of generations to come in its host state.
The event familiarizes visitors with the latest trends in the international art scene along with presenting new ideas and thoughts.
