The presidency has attracted particular interest given India's close ties with both the United States and Russia, from which it has significantly increased imports of oil since the war in Ukraine began nearly a year ago.

The two-day summit begins on Tuesday and will be attended by US President Joe Biden and British PM Rishi Sunak among heads from 20 countries and the European Union.
The high-profile meeting in Bali is the first since Biden became US President in 2021.
The meet will take place on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Indonesia.
Members of the G-20 account for about 80% of the world's economic output, two-thirds of the world's population and about three-quarters of global trade.
India is set to take over the presidency of the G20 late this year from Indonesia which is hosting the 17th edition of the summit in Bali in mid-November.
