The Kerala Cabinet had decided to create 110 supernumerary posts this academic year, in order to accommodate these forty-seven candidates.
The government decision is effective for the current academic year and these teachers will be re-designated when permanent vacancies are reported.

Online exams will be conducted for 10 positions, said the Kerala Public Service Commission.
Complaints were rife that the candidates who possess ITI certificates are denied opportunities as overqualified candidates are considered for the various posts notified by the Kerala PSC.
Steps have been initiated to upgrade the software, that would allow the candidates to make changes to the profile and upload the certificates.
The Kerala Administrative Tribunal and the High Court had earlier rejected Nisha's petition reasoning that the validity of the rank-list had expired.
The vacancy to which Nisha was to be appointed was reported from the office of the Urban Affairs Directorate at 12 midnight on March 31.
