Justice PV Kunhikrishnan, while granting the relief, underscored the principle that men, too, have the right to dignity.
The High Court on November 27 ordered the SIT to appoint a nodal officer to prevent intimidation and threatening of the witnesses who appeared before the committee.
Following the appeal, the RTI Commissioner had directed the Cultural Department to resubmit the report for verification during the hearing on October 30.
In a FB post titled, clarifications on certain matters, she asserted that her appearance before the committee was never intended to file a complaint or accuse anyone.
In addition to the 35 cases, 24 separate cases, including those against actor Siddique also registered.
The SIT is already struggling to make headway in over 30 cases registered across the state following the publication of the Hema Committee report.
She requested the apex court to quash the proceedings initiated by the SIT based on her statements.
In its directive, the court instructed the SIT to publicise the name and contact details of the nodal officer.
The court cites inordinate delay in registering FIR.
The accused also include Maniyanpilla Raju, Edavela Babu, production executives Noble and Vichu, and producer-advocate V S Chandrasekharan.
