Examination for the first term of Class 12 will begin from November 16, while for Class 10 it will start on November 17.
While the exams for minor subjects for class 10 will be conducted from November 17 to December 7, those for class 12 will be conducted from November 16 to December 30.
Class 10 and 12 students who are not in the same city where they had taken admission will be allowed to request a change in the city of examination centre for first term board exams beginning next month, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Wednesday.
According to examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, the announced date sheet is for major subjects while the schedule for minor subjects will be sent to schools separately.
The first-term board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 will be conducted offline in November-December and the date-sheet for the same will be announced on October 18.
The explanation comes amid a barrage of social media posts and reports that there would be a common question paper provided by CBSE for standards 9 and 11.
The bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar ruled in favor of the students after the CBSE had informed the court that it would publish the results of the private and compartments students before 30 September.
The criteria for arriving at the final marks for Malayalam paper were based on the average marks scored in the best-scoring three subjects other than Malayalam.
Marks obtained in the offline examinations would be utilized to decide the scores in subjects for which no tests could be conducted.
The result are being announced on the basis of an alternate assessment policy.
