The three-time Formula One champion regarded as one of the finest racers of all time and who later became a successful airline entrepreneur, has died at 70 after battling declining health.
McLaren, who have used Renault engines since last year, have clinched a deal with Mercedes until at least the end of 2024, resurrecting a partnership that ran from 2005 to 2014.
The Liberty Media-owned championship, which will have a record 22 Grands Prix next year with the 10 teams flown around the world, said carbon reduction projects would start immediately.
