While most of the teams are announcing 15-member squads, the BCCI is expected to announce either an 18 or 20-member squad.
Sanju, who was dropped from the Indian T20I team after the tour of Australia, has earned a place in the squad based on his performances in IPL 2021.
BCCI chief Sourav Gaguly said that the Indian team, sans the top players, will tour Sri Lanka in July for a limited overs bilateral series.
