The date of the launch has not been revealed yet, but the trains will be operational after the Jammu-Srinagar railway line becomes functional.
It will be the first semiconductor manufacturing facility in India, said Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, adding that the first chips will be manufactured within 18 months
Sources said Vaishnaw instructed Railway Board officials to draw plans to make the railway network completely tamper-proof from external elements.

One of the recommendations is to run the trains at a speed of 130 km per hour through the State.
