IICD admission: Apply before March 21 for top designing courses

Online applications are invited for various design courses at the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) in Jaipur that function under the Government of Rajasthan.

The last date for submitting an online application is 21 March.

Programmes and Qualification
A) 4-year BDes (Bachelor of Design) – Those who have passed plus two or are currently pursuing class twelve can apply. Specialisations such as the following are available in various departments:

Soft material design (leather, paper, natural fibres, cloth)/ hard material design (timber, metal, stone)/ fired material design (porcelain, earthenware, stoneware, terracotta)/ fashion clothing/ crafts communication (graphics, videography) jewellery design.

There are 180 seats up for grabs.
B) 2-year MDes – Design/Architecture degree is required to apply. There are 90 seats.
C) 3-year MDes (hybrid mode for candidates who are employed). Design/Architecture degree is required to apply. Total seats 30.
D) 3-year MVoc – Candidates who are graduates in designing or related courses can apply. Total seats 90.

The first year in the BDes and MVoc courses include foundation programmes.

Fees
The application fee is Rs 1,750. Meanwhile, it is Rs 3,500 for NRI candidates. The candidates have to pay semester fee of Rs 1,20,00. Besides, there is an admission fee of Rs 7,000.
