Eyeing a teaching career in Kerala? Apply for K-TET

Thiruvananthapuram: Online applications are invited for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K–TET). Those who aspire for a teaching career in schools in Kerala may submit applications from April 3 to 17 on the website https://ktet.kerala.gov.in.

The test would be conducted for Lower Primary, Upper Primary, High School and Special (languages until UP section and special subjects until high school) sections.

Those who apply for more than one section should pay Rs 500 for each section as the application fee. Meanwhile, it is Rs 250 for applicants from Scheduled Castes/Tribes and physically– visually challenged persons.

The aspirants need to apply only once even if they submit applications for more than one section. Corrections cannot be made once the application is submitted.

The applicants need to upload a picture that was taken after October 1 last year, along with the application. The hall tickets could be downloaded until April 25. Detailed prospectus is available on the website of the Pareeksha Bhavan.  

K–TET is an eligibility exam for getting appointed as teachers in the schools that has the approval of the Department of General Education. Applicants should note that K-TET qualification would not guarantee appointment as teacher.
