One of the much anticipated film 'Thuramukham' starring Nivin Pauly in the lead and directed by cnematographer-drector Rajiv Ravi will hit the theatres on January 20, 2022. The period film set in 1962 revolves around the controversial chappa system which put labourers at ports in distress and their protest against it.
It is the story of survival of a family and a region, which pass through such a turbid condition of the time - a tale of two generations which sway amid virtue and vice, disaster and valiant resistance and also hope and despair.
Indrajit Sukumaran, Joju George, Nimisha Sajayan, Sudev Nair, Manikandan Achari, Poornima Indrajit, Darsana Rajendran, Arjun Ashokan among others, appear in prominent roles in the film.
The film produced by Sukumar Thekkepatt under the banner Thekkepatt Films. Noted editor Ajithkumar is in charge of the editing department and Gokuldas is taking care of the production design.
