Anurag Kashyap will play the role of baddie in his Tamil debutImaikkaa Nodigal, with the magnanimous star-cast of Nayanthara, Atharvaa and Raashi Khanna will see Anurag Kashyap playing the baddie.
Although director Anurag Kashyap has always openly stated his love for Tamil films, Imaikkaa Nodigal will be Kashyap's first ever association with Kollywood.
Talking about his role, Anurag Kashyap said, "What pulled me towards acting in Imaikkaa Nodigal is the role. Rudra is not your typical baddie. He doesn't just smoke, drink, order his men around and indulge in item numbers. He is menacing, scary, smart and cunning. This strange mixture that forms the role is what tempted me to take it up although I was tied up with my own projects back in Mumbai. When the audience watch the movie in theater, if I'm able to evoke the tiniest of fears in them, as Rudra, I'll consider my work done."
"It's great to see youngsters take up the initiative and do interesting films like this. Films that demand a lot of experience and detailing. I'm surprised by Director Ajay's command over the medium'', he further added.
Anurag Kashyap in the movieImaikkaa Nodigal which is being produced by Mr C J Jayakumar of Cameo Films is being directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of De'Monte Colony fame. The cinematography of the film is by R D Rajasekhar and music by Hiphop Tamizha.
While the film will wrap up by the end of April, Anurag Kashyap tells us that it will be worth the wait.
