The tragedy that director Shanil Mohammed is having to face revels even a film plot. While his film Avarude Ravukal was set to be released in a month, the producer of the film, Ajay Krishnan, committed suicide.
Even close relatives and friends of Ajay Krishnan do not know why he made such a move. While those working on the film are not sure of what to do, some sections of the media reported that the producer took the extreme step after watching the preview of the movie, which did not satisfy him and made him apprehensive about its prospects.
Shanil Mohammed, the director of the film, however does not believe that this is true. He says, " I have reached an impasse because I am in a particular state of mind. I and Ajay enjoyed a good relation. He was a very jovial person. He used to go around the set and cater to the needs of those who had one requirement or the other. No one was unsatisfied with him. There were reports that he died after seeing the preview of the film. The editing, dubbing and BGM of the film have not been completed, how then can he see the preview? Please do not believe wrong reports."
“This film would have never affected him badly because satellite and distribution rights were all cleared. He did not face any financial problem because of the film. He was also supposed to meet me before he died. He was a person who used to mingle well with everyone and share their problems. He even tried to find solutions to others problems. "
“Ajay had plans to make another film after completing this film and I am not sure what prompted him to take this extreme step. I have not even come to terms with the fact that he is not around,” said Shanil.
