After songs Pinga and Malhari faced the wrath of social activists and historians around Maharashtra, it is reported that effigies of Sanjay Leela Bhansali were burnt at the Shanivarwada in Pune.
The protest was led by Undaysinh Peshwa, descendant of Peshwas, who was joined by Kothrud’s BJP MLA Medha Kulkarni, descendant of Chhatrasal and other old faithfuls. The protesters burnt an effigy of Bhansali and shouted slogans against the movie.
