And we found out why.
Vadivelu, who is also known as 'Vaigai Puyal', will be seen in the upcoming Tamil film Kaththi Sandai which has actor Vishal in the lead role. The movie will be directed by Suraj, who has done commercial movies like Mappillai, Alex Pandian and Sakalakala Vallavan.
Bagging a role in a movie is not reason enough to become a trending topic, you might think. But, it is quite a big deal as Vadivelu has done only three films in the last 5 years! We're talking about a comedian who used to do an average of 15 films a year.

It is no secret that Vadivelu, who campaigned for DMK in the 2011 Tamil Nadu elections, was forced to take a sabbatical from acting once the Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK came to power. The actor's last movie was the 2015 comedy Eli, which had him in the lead role.

Reports say that Vadivelu will be returning as a comedian in action-comedy flick Kaththi Sandai and the excitement of his fans spilled over to Twitter, making him a trending topic.
