Former Kerala Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar has rubbed salt in the wounds of the incumbent, Antony Raju who is rocked by KSRTC employees' protests over unpaid wages and the accidents caused by the recently rolled out Swift buses.

Ganesh Kumar, an MLA from Pathanapuram, who is also part of the LDF, triggered a laugh riot at a private function in his constituency when he was said it was a blessing to not be the minister for transport in the present situation.

"I would have been answerable to all the accidents caused by the KSRTC-Swift buses and to the unpaid wages. God is with me, God has saved me," said Ganesh Kumar while addressing an SNDP function at Pathanapuram.

"Many told me it was sad that I couldn't become a minister. But when you read the papers nowadays you know it was good that I'm not a minister," Ganesh Kumar said. "I would have had to face the consequences," he added.
