Harippad: It was supposed to be an ordinary wedding with a coy bride and a nervous groom following the age-old drill. Well, the guests should have known. After all the invite came from a young magician, who make a living out of shock and awe.
Guests at S. Ammu’s wedding were in for a shock initially. The bride was missing! The women who were supposed to usher in the bride to the dais were at a loss explaining this. The compere asked aloud, “Where is the bride?”
The uneasy relatives and guests turned to the dais when smoke started billowing out. When it settled, the magician-bride appeared before her audience-guests, decked up in silk and gold, to a rousing reception.

The bridal stage was specially designed by famed artist Sujathan, the man behind many legendary theatre backdrops.
Ammu is the daughter of L. Rajasekharan Pillai and C. Sreelatha of Muthukulam. She got married to Anand, the son of P. Omanakuttan Nair and P. Ushakumari from Thottakkatt in Kottayam district.
