Chennai: In a bid to make things difficult for Sasikala, Tamil Nadu chief minister O. Panneerselvam reportedly suggested converting Jayalalithaa's Poes Garden residence into a memorial.
The former chief minister's home was shared by Sasikala who continues to live there. There is no apparent heir to Jayalalithaa's sprawling mansion. The estimated value of the house is Rs 43.96 crore.
Amid uncertainty, Sasikala sacked Puducherry former MLA Om Sakthi Sekar from the AIADMK. The Tamil Nadu government revoked the suspension of former TN chief secretary Gnanadesikan and Atul Anand IAS.
In a dramatic turn of events Tuesday, Panneerselvam said he was forced to resign as chief minister to make way for AIADMK general secretary V.K. Sasikala, who waits to be sworn in for the top job.
