The incident comes in the back of the stand-off between India and Canada over the killing of Khalistan activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
The External Affairs Minister said India discussed the Canadian allegation with the US and both sides came out 'better informed'.
Nijjar, chief of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), was shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18.
One can only hope that political and geopolitical games become outdated and the world works as one to solve the most pressing needs of humanity. Until then, a naturalised citizen will always have to prove something to the new country.
Canada issued travel advisory to its citizens in India in view of the protests and negative sentiments towards it on social media.
