The three finalists picked by an expert panel comprising eminent persons in the field of sports are: Dolphin Club, Thiruvananthapuram; Pattern Sports and Arts Society, Kozhikode; and Future Football Club, Ernakulam.
The expert panel visited each of the six shortlisted clubs and evaluated their performance.
The 61-year-old, who died of COVID-19 on Saturday, is regarded as one of the best outstation footballers to have ever played for Maharashtra in the Santosh Trophy.
Hamza Koya, who was settled in Mumbai, had also made it to the Indian camp twice.
Usman Koya, popularly known as Dempo Usman, was part of the Kerala team which won the Santosh Trophy for the first time in 1973.
The Kerala team’s preparatory camp, which was scheduled to be held in Thrissur between March 11 to April 10, has also been postponed.
Both teams have been granted one point each.
The holders bowed out after failing to score a single goal from three games in the qualifiers.
Kerala, who needed to win atleast by two goals to qualify, suffered a huge blow as Services' Vikas Thapa scored the lone goal in the 62nd minute.
The South Zone qualifiers of the 74th Santosh Trophy National Football Championship which was to be held in Kochi from October 14 has been postponed.
