President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in a statement at the site of the explosions in Mogadishu said that that nearly 300 other people were wounded in the attack.
The arrested man-Afsar Khan- a local resident, had reportedly played a major role in sourcing explosive materials seized from the house of Jamesha Mubin.
The blast occured near Edappal Town Round on Tuesday at 7:30pm.
Jemisha Mubeen, 25, was charred to death when a gas cylinder in a car in which he was travelling exploded in a communally sensitive area in the city this morning
