Students could submit online applications from 7 June onwards
Abhinash had scored A-plus grades for all the subjects in Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination too. He is preparing to attend the National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test for under-graduate medical admission.
Last year, 64,308 students had scored A-Plus grade for Chemistry. However, this dropped to just 30,615 this year.
The examination was held by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) held from March 30 to April 22 at various centres around the state.
The circular that was sent to the principals from the regional zones, however, wasn’t published in the official website. Even though the school authorities had called the examinations department in Thiruvananthapuram, they complain that no one attended the calls as usual.
The latest answer key has been prepared by a committee of 15 teachers, including 3 college professors, that was appointed by the government following protests from a group of teachers.
The higher secondary exam for the two optional subjects will be held today and will start at 9:45 am.
A final decision on the matter will be taken after taking into account the number of students who are going to apply for the supplementary quota.
In this scenario, the CBSE school managements' association and students Salvia Hussain, Sibi Wilson, and Priyanka Thomas filed the petitions.
The vocational high-secondary and higher secondary admissions will end on September 29 and October 1, respectively.
