While 18,510 students got full-A-plus last year, 48,383 students got A-plus in all subjects this time.
The paper valuation and tabulation, which were delayed on account of the assembly elections and Covid pandemic, has been completed.
The tabulation of papers have entered its last phase. Once completed, the results will be approved by the Kerala Board of Public Examinations.
Many renowned educational institutions and academicians across the country have made an appeal to the government to make the evaluation process uniform and transparent.
The VHSE first-year exam will be held from September 7 to 16.
A petition was also filed before the State Human Rights Commission seeking postponement of the practical exams in view of the COVID-19 situation in the state.
The higher secondary practicals are scheduled from April 28 after the written exams.

As part of the selection process, a two-hour aptitude test for 65 marks will be held at 34 centres including Thiruvanthapuram and Kozhikode on June 14.
The examination was rescheduled after considering the comments and suggestions received from various quarters.
