The bombs were found in an open plastic cover kept inside a box used for storing tomatoes.
The deceased, Velayudhan, 75, was a native of Kudatholam, Eranholi in Kannur.
Until recently it was made in commercial amounts only in Russia, but the United States wants to produce it to fuel a new wave of reactors.
With this, all 12 accused in the case have been apprehended.
The bomb threat was received as flight 6E 5314, which departed from Chennai for Mumbai.
Nothing suspicious has been found as of now, officers said.
Police closed 205 cases citing a lack of progress in the investigation and two others for absence of evidence.
Investigations are underway to apprehend the assailants.
