Efforts on to establish communication with lander and rover for continuing experiments, said ISRO officials
ISRO Chairman S Somanath released the book by handing it over to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) Director S Unnikrishnan Nair while the countdown for the historic launch was progressing at the space centre.
Chandrayaan-3 is the third lunar exploration mission ready for take off in the fourth operational mission (M4) of LVM3 launcher.
Chandrayaan 3 has successfully separated from LVM3-M4 rocket, the ISRO said.
If the Chandrayaan-3 mission — slated for launch on Friday, July 14 — goes as planned, it will place India in the elite club of four nations that have set their footprints on the lunar surface by landing a space vehicle.
Mission launch onboard Launch Vehicle Mark 3 from Sriharikota spaceport at 2.35 pm on July 14.
Chandrayaan-3 will be launched by the Launch Vehicle Mark-III from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota and this is scheduled for July 13 at 2:30 pm, according to the officials.
The Manzinus model is named after the Manzinus crater the planned landing site of the Chandrayaan-2 mission; the Earthshine model is inspired by the faint-brown glow that appears with the crescent moon.
According to ISRO, the Chandrayaan-3 lander successfully underwent EMI/EMC test during January 31-February 2 at the UR Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru.
Ritu Karidhal Srivastava was deputy operation director for 'Mangalyan' and is now mission director for Chandrayan-2.
