The Karnataka Regional Transport Corporation has decided to operate 23 additional bus services to Kerala in view of the Vishu-Easter rush.
The decision was taken after anticipating a spike in demand for tickets from Karnataka to Kerala during the festive season.
The Karnataka RTC will conduct 7 special services to Kochi on April 13. While one bus service will operate from Mysuru, six will depart from Bengaluru.
There will be additional services to Kannur-4, Kottayam-4, Kozhikode-1, Palakkad-2, Thrissur-3, Thiruvananthapura-1 and Vadakara-1, Karnataka RTC Liaison Officer G Prasanth informed.
The return buses to Karnataka will be scheduled for April 18 after Easter. While Vishu and Good Friday falls on April 15, Easter falls on April 17.
